Kristen has worked at HalswellHealth since 2021 and has a particular interest in the care of patients with long-term conditions, especially heart failure and COPD. Kristen completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2008 in California, and became a Nurse Prescriber in 2024, completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (Hons) at the University of Otago. Prescribing allows greater autonomy in supporting patients with long-term conditions. Kristen moved to New Zealand in 2012 to enjoy the outdoors – on days off she can be found biking, tramping, and camping in the mountains with friends and family.
