Viv van Dam graduated from Auckland Medical School in 2002 and has worked in various hospital both in NZ and the UK. In the UK, Viv obtained a Diploma of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and completed the GP training scheme based in Bath. Viv and her husband moved back to NZ in 2010 and she has been working at Halswellhealth since 2014. Viv is a fellow of the NZ College of GPs.
When not at work, Viv looks after her two busy teenage kids and her dog Pluto. Viv enjoys the outdoors and has recently been introduced to tramping, loves cooking/baking and growing her own food. She does not have her own enrolled patients.
