Introducing Dr Michael Shaw. Michael started working at Halswellhealth in January 2024 and consults from our Longhurst and Ensign locations on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  

Michael grew up in Timaru and graduated Otago medical school in 2018. He worked across a range of medical specialties at the Christchurch hospital before turning to General practice in 2023. Michael’s main areas of interest are diabetes, heart failure, and geriatrics although he enjoys all aspects of medicine. He believes in a holistic and pragmatic approach to patient care. Michael is taking care of Dr Suzy Cheng’s patient’s while she is on maternity leave.
