We are sad to advise that Dr Dave de Lima is leaving Halswellhealth in April to move overseas with his family. His last day of work will be 14 April 2026.

To ensure our patients continue to receive excellent care, those enrolled under Dr de Lima will be transferred to either Dr Michael Shaw or Dr Michelle Park. We will be advising individual patients which GP their care has been transferred to, shortly.

Dr Shaw grew up in Timaru and graduated from Otago medical school in 2018. He worked across a range of medical specialties at Christchurch Public Hospital before turning to General Practice in 2023. Michael’s main areas of interest are diabetes, heart failure, and Older Persons Health, although he enjoys all aspects of medicine. Dr Shaw practices out of our Ensign and Longhurst premises.

Dr Park was born and raised in Auckland and graduated from Auckland Medical School in 2018. Since then, she has attained Post-graduate Diplomas in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Travel Medicine and is currently working towards her RNZCGP fellowship. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and getting to know her patients over time. Dr Park practices from our Prebbleton and Longhurst premises.

We will be able to facilitate transfers between Dr Shaw and Dr Park if necessary once the initial transfer has occurred (but not before).
