Geena was born in Hong Kong and raised in Auckland. She moved to Dunedin and Christchurch for her medical training and subsequently graduated from the University of Otago in 2013. She has also completed further studies to attain a Post-graduate Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Diploma in Child Health. Geena has worked in several cities including Christchurch, Tauranga, and Wellington. Geena enjoys the breadth of general practice, particularly the opportunity to get to know her patients and develop long-term relationships with them. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her young family.

Heath joined Halswellhealth in August 2021 bringing skills in management and finance built up over a career in both corporate and private enterprise.
He really enjoys working for an organisation that puts people first in everything they do.
Outside of work, Heath enjoys spending time with his young family and getting over to his family bach in Westport as time allows.
Jemma completed her BSc (Hons) majoring in Psychology at the University of Canterbury in 2021. She has experience as a Youth Mental Health Community Support Worker and is currently studying nutrition through the University of Otago.
Jemma is passionate about health and wellbeing and supporting others to achieve their own health goals. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, walking, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
Jemma works Monday – Friday at our Longhurst site. She is non-clinical and can support you with making lifestyle/behaviour changes to improve your physical and mental health or to live well with any ongoing health conditions.
Health Coach appointments are FREE and for people aged 16+, registered with the practice. To book an appointment, talk with your GP or the reception team.
