Loren grew up in Canterbury before moving to Dunedin to complete her pharmacy training at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka (The University of Otago). She graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2012 and completed her intern training in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
She has always been interested in medicines and how they work, but also believes in a holistic (whole person) approach to keeping well – beyond just medication. She enjoys building connections with people and whānau and working together to ensure they get the most out of their medications, and are supported in all aspects of their health and wellbeing. Medication might be part of that solution and she can work with you to make sure that fits into your day to day lifestyle and what you need to keep well. Māku koe e āwhina.
Outside of work she loves spending time with whānau, especially exploring the outdoors or out on the water.
A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents. I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment. I throw myself down among the tall grass by the trickling stream; and, as I lie close to the earth. Thousand unknown plants are noticed by me. When I hear the buzz of the little world among the stalks, and grow familiar with the countless.
